Today I finished my French Country Headboard. It is done in a buttercream yellow over an aqua blue and heavily distressed for that farmhouse look. I began by sanding the piece heavily, filling holes with wood putty, sanding again. Then primed, painted the blue layer followed by 3 coats of buttercream with sanding in between. Then I distressed it and finished with a wax. This lovely lady is for sale, $150.
Isn't this quilt beautiful? My talented Mama made it for me :)
You can really see the blue on the posts
I love how distressing brings the lines out in a piece, don't you?
