This is my favorite piece I've done so far. I love the shade of blue and the knobs that remind me of the buttons on an admiral's jacket. I did a lot of filling of holes, sanding, two coats of paint with sanding between. Then distressed and finished with two coats of a dark wax. I lined the drawers with road maps. I love how it looks. I think I'll be doing that a lot from now on!
I think it would make a great media cabinet- it's the perfect size to hold a large flatscreen tv. It would work well in a master bedroom, or even a little boy's room. You could even use it as a changing table. There is plenty of room on the top for a changing pad and basket of diapers and wipes.
